Rated 3 out of 5 by IuliaT from Be aware these have changed I was a big fan of the slim pasta products in the past. However they have changed from being zero carb and very low calorie to containing a much larger amount of both, without this being indicated on their packaging or indeed on the Holland and Barrett website. In fact one time I ordered I got a mix of both in the box. People may prefer the new texture, but more effort should have been made by both the maker and H&B to make people aware the product had changed even though the name was exactly the same ... if you are following a low carb diet this are now pretty useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JK57 from Fantastic! I have used the noodles to make stir frys a few times and have been impressed with the outcome. Don't expect them to taste exactly like normal noodles but they will take on the flavour of the sauce and work very well. Just be warned, don't smell the packet when you open it, rinse them well then heat by boiling in water rather than the microwave alternative - the water helps to completely eliminate the odour. They may seem pricey but, as I'm the only one allowed to eat them(!), I find that one packet will do 2, or even 3, meals - the packet says they can be kept in water in the fridge - I have had no problem mixing them into the stir fry and keeping a portion of the complete dish for the next day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LilLady from product has changed for the worse V unhappy,it's a different product , very slimy consistency. Has carbs so people on a very low carb diet beware, apparently the organic one is the zero carbs, won't buy again as Holland and Barrett don't seem to stock the no carb organic type. Very disappointed as I ordered a big batch for delivery and now I'm stuck with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent value for money from H&B I bought some of these as I had read a lot about them, I had read some reviews that said the smell had put people off eating and the texture was too strange too so I was really apprehensive but when I tried them they were fine, the smell isn't great but try to hold your breath when you rinse them and within seconds they no longer have that fishy smell to them. they do indeed take on the flavour of whatever sauce you are cooking them in, they are flavourless on their own but are not offensive or unpleasant when cooked with a stir fry sauce etc. I am funny about things that smell bad but if I can get over this then so can most people. I would recommend if you are looking at reducing your calorie intake. The only down side is that these are difficult to get hold of in the shops. though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sweetthing from WONDERFUL. When I first read about these noodles I thought I would give them a go. I followed the instructions to the letter. I love King Prawn Linguine but I make mine with noodles not the linguine pasta. I decided to make up two meals, one made with noodles and the other made with the slim pasta noodles. I had pre-cooked king prawns, cherry tomatoes, slices of red pepper, basil and some oil free passata and put the mixture into two dishes and put them in the microwave. I boiled the normal noodles in hot water, and washed the slim pasta noodles in boiling water, I took the two dishes out and added the normal noodles to one dish and the slim pasta noodles to the other dish and stirred them into the sauce. I closed my eyes, moved the dishes around on the work-top and had a taste of both dishes. I could not tell which one was which. You can only tell by looking at them as the slim pasta noodles are slightly thinner than normal noodles but that is all. The meal was delicious. I let one dish cool down before I put it in the fridge and ate the other dish with the slim pasta noodles. The calories in the normal noodles meal would have been 200. In the slim pasta meal, 30 cals.
